Immersion Courses

At Capital University, we offer students the opportunity to have an immersive experience in a professional capacity wherein they research, plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of client-based communication projects. The immersion course is structured on an agency model, with students functioning in a variety of roles.

The converged learning experience culminates with an integrated, immersion-based capstone course – created in partnership with the nationally leading, mid-size integrated communications and marketing firm Fahlgren Mortine. This model incorporates working professionals and practitioners into the design and delivery of the coursework. Real-world experience is also delivered through partnership with a real client (recent clients include the Columbus Community Shelter Board, the Ronald McDonald House, the Buckeye Ranch, and others). In this model of course delivery, instructors include creative directors, graphic artists, non-profit administrators, producers, marketing strategists, public relations practitioners, CEOs and more.
